Privacy Policy

Effective 10 September 2026

Together is built to help real-life friends and families stay connected. This policy explains what information we handle, why we need it, and the choices you have.

Who operates Together

Together is operated by PradeepBaskar. In this policy, “Together”, “we”, “our”, and “us” refer to the Together app and service.

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@togetherapp.club.

Information we collect

Account and identity information

We collect your phone number to create and secure your account and deliver one-time verification codes. If you choose to add an email address, we store it with your profile. We also maintain session and account-security records.

Profile information

You may provide a display name, handle, profile photo or emoji, biography, pronouns, birthday, interests, country, state or region, and city. Other people see profile details only through the visibility rules described in the app.

Friends, groups, and content

We process friend requests, blocks, group membership, private group appearance, messages, replies, reactions, Comets, Moments, events, RSVPs, responsibilities, reminders, mentions, reports, and related timestamps. This content is shown only to people who are eligible to participate in the relevant connection or group.

Photos and avatars

Photos are resized by the app before upload. Profile and private group avatars are stored on our server. A Moment can include up to three resized photos. Its full photo data is removed from our server after delivery to all eligible group members is complete or waived; a small preview may remain for group history and notifications until the Moment or account data is deleted. Devices may keep a local copy to avoid downloading the same photo repeatedly.

Location

With your permission, Together can use foreground location to suggest your profile location or create a one-time group check-in. We do not request background location tracking. A check-in is visible only to eligible group members and becomes an expired “left” record after its active period; its author can delete it.

BlessMe expense information

BlessMe records group expenses, each member’s private share, settlement state, and optional event association. If you add a UPI identifier, it is encrypted on our server and revealed only to an eligible person who owes you and chooses to pay. A payment QR is generated on the payer’s device. Together opens an installed payment app but does not receive your UPI PIN or bank credentials, move money, or independently verify that a payment occurred.

Notifications and technical information

We process push tokens, device platform, notification preferences, delivery attempts, direct notification actions, app activity needed to operate features, IP address, user agent, request timing, failures, and security or abuse signals. We do not use an advertising identifier and do not run third-party advertising in the current service.

How we use information

  • Provide authentication, profiles, friendships, groups, conversations, events, Moments, Comets, reminders, and BlessMe.
  • Deliver requested notifications and timely connection prompts under your notification settings.
  • Protect accounts, prevent spam and abuse, enforce blocks, investigate reports, and keep an audit trail for sensitive actions.
  • Maintain, debug, measure, and improve reliability using aggregate or limited operational information.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect users and the service.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use Together content for third-party targeted advertising.

When information is shared

People you choose. Profile and group information is shared with friends or eligible group members according to the feature and your settings. Other participants can see settlement progress in a shared expense, but not another person’s private share or cross-group balance.

Service providers. We use infrastructure and processors that help operate Together, including Amazon Web Services for cloud hosting, PostgreSQL on our infrastructure, Twilio for phone verification, Expo plus Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service for notifications, and Expo, Google, and Apple for app builds or distribution. They process information only to provide their contracted service and under their own applicable terms.

Safety and law. We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with valid legal process, address fraud or abuse, enforce our terms, or protect a person’s safety or rights.

Business change. If ownership of Together changes, information may transfer as part of that transaction subject to this policy and applicable law. We will provide notice when required.

Storage, security, and international processing

Information is transmitted over HTTPS. We use authenticated access controls, private database networking, encrypted payment identifiers, restricted administration, rate limits, backups, and audit records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use Together only with people you trust and contact us if you believe your account is at risk.

Together is intended for a global audience. Information may be processed in India or another country where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules from your home country.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and retain feature data for as long as it is needed to provide the feature, protect the service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Full Moment media follows the shorter delivery lifecycle described above. Security logs, delivery records, backups, and audit information may remain for a limited period after the live data is removed.

You can delete individual content where the app provides a delete action. You can permanently delete your account in Settings → Your profile → delete account. Deletion removes the active account, profile, private media, memberships, and data tied to database relationships. Content already shared into a group may remain in that group’s history without an active account identity when preserving the conversation or an integrity record is necessary. Financial and moderation records may be retained only where required for integrity, safety, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or law.

You may also request deletion or ask a privacy question by emailing info@togetherapp.club. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account.

Your choices and rights

You can edit profile details, manage notification categories, deny photo or location permission, delete supported content, leave groups, remove or block friends, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or erase personal information, or complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise a right that is not available directly in the app.

Age requirement

Together is for people aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly allow children under 16 to create accounts. If you believe an under-age person is using Together, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Local law may require a higher age or additional consent.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Together changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice in the app when a material change requires it. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy and applicable law.
